Set on the absolute final day of the war in Europe, the musical follows the impossible reunion of two star-crossed lovers—a German officer and a Jewish prisoner—brought together inside a high-security prison camp. The stakes are catastrophic: a ruthless Nazi commandant has received strict orders to execute all remaining prisoners associated with the Uranium Project—Hitler’s desperate, failed attempt to construct an atomic bomb.
